Fridays just got a bit more confusing

If you haven't heard about this, then you've probably have been living under a rock (everyone's first guess) or you've been holding out as long as you can. All I have to say is that there's no rush, but if you're in a hurry, then prepare to have your IQ drop in HQ.

Sometime in the last week, Rebecca Black's single "Friday" became a viral phenomenon. Currently at over 16 million views, it still pales in comparison to Justin Bieber's "Baby," with over 490 million views (what happened to the days when "The Evolution of Dance" was the most watched video?). We've always been allowed to throw around the words "teen pop," but in this instance there will be no backlash if you were also to use the phrase "teen pop garbage."

This will probably die in another week (and hopefully it does) because not even the short reference to "Friday I'm in Love" in the intro sequence gives this song any merit (it's less of a "Good for you for knowing The Cure!" and more of a "How dare you juxtapose greatness with this!").

But did you know that the 13-year-old Black didn't even write the song (SHOCKING!!!)? "Friday" is actually a Bob Dylan song from the 60's. Fo realz. Don't believe me? Check out the link below.

(Edit: Don't believe me.)

Fun, fun, fun, fun,
Kelvin
